All of the Expert Dual shed sizes come with 11mm Tongue and Groove roofing and flooring as standard. Not only does this building come with a robust floor and roof included, but the traditional apex roof shape also offers generous headroom and high eaves and ridges for added convenience and mobility whilst inside the shed. Roofing felt is also included to improve your building’s weather resistance helping to keep your possessions safe and dry. Due to the versatility of the building and the vast size range, there are many ways to use your building. The smaller sizes would be perfect as a garden tool shed or even a BBQ or bike storage solution allowing you to keep all your equipment together. It may be that you are looking for a home studio or workshop, and in this case, the larger size has space for shed shelves or even a workbench. Configure your shed to best suit your garden with the adaptable door placement which allows you to place the doors and pre-assembled panels anywhere, as long as there is a panel on either side of the doors. This means you can place the doors in your preferred position for the best access in and out of the building. With a tall ridge height of 8’1″ and eaves height of 5’8″, the apex roof offers high headroom for added convenience and mobility, while maintaining that traditional garden building look. The Expert Dual garden shed is supplied with heavy-duty 11mm Tongue & Groove flooring and roofing as standard to provide a solid underfoot for your garden storage shed and protection from harsh weather conditions. What is the difference between spray treatment and pressure treatment? As this only lasts through the transit stage, we do advise treating the wood after installation to protect and preserve it, as well as annual maintenance. Pressure Treated: For an extra level of protection, you can opt for a pressure treated building which is an effective way of keeping the wood long lasting. This is an extra step in the manufacturing process where the wood is treated in a pressurised tank. Chemical preservatives are forced deep into the wood’s fibres to resist rot, decay and termites. When you upgrade to Pressure Treatment, the guarantee is extended from 10 to 15 years. What size base does this building need? All garden buildings should be assembled on a firm and level base. A base will ensure your building has a solid, long-lasting and well-drained foundation. If you want to build your own base, from a sturdy material such as concrete or flagstones, you can find minimum dimensions for each size of this building in the tech specs. In order to protect your building from moisture, you should leave a 2ft gap around the exterior of your building, so remember to take this into consideration when laying any sort of base. It is quick and easy to install through the use of snap connectors that link the grids to each other. How often do I need to treat my building? The building should be treated once fully assembled and within one month of receiving the product. Will I need planning permission for this building? If the building is shorter than 2.5m tall you should not require planning permission, (unless it’s more than 50% of your garden or to be put in your front garden). Planning permission rules can vary by area so we would strongly recommend checking your local council rules before ordering from us. How long does it take to assemble this building?
